they didn't plan it so well and it all went a little pear shaped. Especially when pele joined the fray.

Posted: Definitely admire you for stepping up and apologising mate.
Just want you and your mates to understand that though you may think what you did was harmless, and although you didn't start any all-out slanging wars before you were discovered, the damage goes a little bit deeper.
Yes as Pele said this site is a business and what happens on the board can affect the sales.
You may think it's just a chat site, but believe me, it's a little more than that. Friendships and relationships have been forged, people even owe their lives to this board - both the people who suffer from depression and other mental illnesses who found the will to live just from the friendships they find and the confidence they gain from our silly little hobbies, and the babies born from such relationships.
You may regard our hobby as silly, and from any other people's point of view, it probably is! Playing with sticks and swinging our balls around our heads? It's ridiculous! But we love it. You people have banded together through a mutual love of Breaks, no doubt to escape the banality of other genres which aren't to your tastes but are no less valid a choice of music than yours or mine. I hope that the friends you've made through this are as great as the ones we have here and I hope you never have to experience what you intended to put us through... Incidentally, yes quite a few of us love breaks! (It's not all guitars singing 'Kum Bye Ya' around the camp fire. Hmmmm, should do that at the next meet...) Just hope that this hasn’t tainted our view it
We are always looking to expand our circles of friends and welcome newbies (okay, we may be a bit dogmatic about certain etiquettes but that's down to people being set in their ways but there are practical and financial reasons for it - bandwidth being one). So for you lot to come in a pose as a bunch of newbies and - as you put it on your own boards
'by p-day we shoulkd have befreinded them a little and then we can counterattack with midless drivel and abuse. '
You did indeed build trust and have effectively thrown that back in our faces. And although you have been found out, despite our future efforts to not let this get us cloud our judgement, there will always be in the back of our minds a lingering doubt of whether any newbie is the genuine article. And where we would previously approach them with open arms, well, will still do so but now with a cynical air of caution. Someone who could've made a great friend might now not bother because they sensed a slight coldness...
I am well aware that I sound like a preachy hippy. Heck, I probably AM a preachy hippy. But that's what I love about this site, AND the internet community in general because I can say what I feel and choose but still remember that what I choose to say can still affect others.
Just think before you try to pull something like this again.
Peace out… (Yes I DID say that… )

They didn't. They started with an attack plan and a call to arms. The anti-ravehead post is about 3 pages into the thread. That's just the link that i supplied him with (cos as he was the brunt of something malicious i felt he needed to be told) and he duly posted here.
