So I just dobbed myself in for studying a course (my friend needs inspiration to finish study his course and wants me to study with him so that we can inspire each other through our courses)....
I have to study externally (at home)
But I have no idea what to study?
Any interesting ideas guys?

Look at your interests and look at what you think is lacking in the society in which you live. If there are any crossovers between the two then that is what I would study if I were you. For instance studying how circus skills can be used to develop understanding between the deaf community and the hearing community might be a good subject to investigate.

I'd advise you do something you enjoy, at a managerial level. Managers get paid more, plus since starting work I have a much greater appreciation for project management, logistics etc than I did before. I got my Batchelors degree in engineering last July, and am about to apply for a part time masters course starting this autumn that I can attend after work in evenings over a few years. It's not as quick as doing it full time, but I don't have to leave/compromise my job by doing so, nor do I have to go back to a full student lifestyle, i can just extract the good bits like social life and cheap sports facilities. After that I'll do some sort of business masters and by the age of 30 have a nice managerial job in my chosen area. That's the plan anyway. By 40 I wanna be doing a PhD and retire with a nice lecturing job (partly because I'd get to do research, partly because they get great holiday allowances!).
