Ok, I'm ready for spring now.

It is 22F (-6C) and WINDY. And in New York City, the wind whips down the concrete canyons with a force like I can't even begin to describe.

I was going to go shopping for new shoes today...but it's too damned cold. So I'm staying in.

And I haven't been able to go out and spin poi in forever. frown

I don't know what I find funnier, the shoe shopping, or the fact that you let the cold stop you!

You don't like the weather here you can always go back to balmy Chicago.

It's been a lovely winter here. Mostly in the 40s F. Plus one really nice snowstorm.

You just need someone warm to snuggle up to. ubblove

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

I am not from Chicago and I have never lived there.

Get your flyover states straight, young man.

I HAVE, on the other hand, lived in San Francisco, which is a fair sight warmer than this freezer of a city.

Bring on the bread, I say.

I noticed that bread seemed to be hard to come by in the Uk myself, I think this means I have to start making my own again, or somesuch.

But yeah, the cold has prevented me from getting a package today. Or was that the tiredness? No, I think tiredness is preventing me from making phone calls...

Its prevented my housemate from going food shopping. And yet its only (with wind chill) like 15F! ubblol

The weather where i live is absoutly annoyoing the fick outta me! one day we have spring like conditions, then we get a bit of snow (about 5cm) then it all ments in a couple of days making everything even muddier.. then about a week later the temperture drops down to like -10 and giving another like 2 feet of snow.... i hate when that happens! i wish mother nature would just make up her mind and change over to the next season for good

Kyri, there's a difference between American and British bread? ubblol

It's quite funny, I was in Canada for 3 months and kept moaning about the bread and all the people there thought I was just being silly, until 2 of them went to "Europe" for a month and came back loathing the toast-stuff smile

end of off-topic-ness! Maybe I should start the Bread Thread.

Well, there's the processed junk, which is the same in both places. And then there's vienna bread, which appears to be about the same in both places as well, and french bread, which is at least close to the same, altho I had a hard time finding fresh baguettes sometimes.

However in america there's also california sourdough, and on the east coast and in some parts of the midwest there's also italian loaves which are good. And I couldn't find much fresh bread or any *good* fresh bread when i was over...

*reads post*

ubblol

Maybe we SHOULD start the bread thread! tongue

(P.S. I like the italian the best and a good french bagutte second. third would have to be the german "farm bread")
