Posted: what do you guys think of speed-and-power sets with staff or baton? i use them as a frequent part of my troupe's shows, and the audience seems to just wake right up. the drummers tend to play more consistently afterward, too.

Posted: think extremely fast martial arts moves, strung together so as to flow seamlessly, giving an effect akin to being surrounded by a swarm of angry flaming hornets. there's a pic of what i mean in my gallery. it's a 1 &1/2 second exposure, titled "reckless speed."

i think i know what you mean though.
i have a natural speed that i spin at. Maybe when i get better i wil have to skill to vary the pace without interupting the flow. Letting the speed build up naturally so to speak.
Then again, somtimes when the drummers get carried away i find myself going a bit mad anyway. But then im wrecked after 20 minutes *shrug*
got any vids?
