Hello there

call me oni
i'm from CT, USA...
by day i am a goldsmith-slash-watch-repair-person-in-training. i used to do an awful lot of other things but my schedule didnt allow it for awhile...and i'm finally just getting things straightened out.

an ex was teaching me spinning poi, and i quit even trying after our relationship ended...because of the negative association i guess. the weather is getting nicer and the urge to be active is setting in again, so i whipped up some home-made sock poi the other day and have begun practicing some sweet moves ;3 haha

HoP is one of the good things i took away from my old relationship ;3 everything happens for a reason ya? so here i am, woohoo thats it. glad to know there is such a large, caring, and supportive community out here, even for noobs like me <3

And don't forget to answer the last question. And it has nothing to do with ice cream.

Hobbies other than the obvious: photography and modelling. and learning languages. and occasionally sketching. and playing a lot of video games ;f

Godzilla vs. a Star Wars Star Destroyer. Who wins? Why? the destroyer. godzilla can't fly high enough imho

Favorite TV show(s): haven't had television in 4 years

Plans for life in general: moving to norway in approx. 12 months (hopefully!)

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: i have a wide and varied interest in music. i love wagner and bach, gackt and dir en grey, dimmu borgir and anaal nathrakh, snoop dogg, m.c. chris, and biggie smalls, loli ripe and smile.DK, hamasaki ayumi and wong fei.....to encompass a few genres

Do you think these pants make my butt look too big? no but they look like hell on mine

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): i don't like ice cream with too much extra stuff added in. like nuts. but cookies are ok...and gummy bears, and caramel and bits of chocolate...

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella? i pick nutella based on the fact that i have never had either one of the other two, but nutella is good enough to not need to look elsewhere. i'm not saying that merely from your slick intimidation tactics ;3

p.s. //edit// oh great board moderator : just a suggestion...if that post linked above is supposed to be read first, perhaps the "post your introduction" link that you give to new members should lead there instead of to an actual new topic form...? tbh i didnt even look in the introduction forum first, just clicked the link and went off on my merry way to work after ;3

welcome to HoP, and welcome (back) to spinning! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on JAC's questions about New England v. Old England. You answered the Nutella question correctly, but can your diplomacy hold out....

It is an updated version. They fixed the language so that people don't talk funny there like they do in Old England

Look around you. Are there buildings over 400 years old? Then you must be in Old England.

Present England is where English-speaking Santa Claus lives.

jac-hm. new england is a place where we still cling to useless laws banning fellatio and the sale of liquor on sundays.

we also pride ourselves on region-free diction.

and you must be in both old and present england! now you scoundrel, teach us how to be in two places at once and we'll give you a cookie <3

Thanks. I am going to sleep better tonight rolleyes

However, the part of England (Present) is the part where it is 400 years in the past. So Im not sure whats going on, but still , I am sure I will survive.
People all good today? nana

wave Hello, and welcome.

Hug? hug

To be in 2 places at once, wouldn't you need one of those time turner thingummies like Hermione has in Harry Potter? Although I think the Ministry of Magic's entire stock was destroyed during the Order of the Phoenix....

Can I get a cookie for that? ubbrollsmile

my stepmom fell hard for the harry potter craze when the first book came out. i think i was in 8th or 9th grade. i haven't read any harry potter books lately...i think i stopped at the 5th one. i'm kind of curious, but i just can't bring myself to read them >.<

and yes, i think you would be correct about the time turner

chocochip or oatmeal?
