A quick history of Juggling Clubs
Juggling clubs or pins evolved from Indian clubs. Indian clubs were swung one in each hand without letting them go. They are solid wood, and of varying weights/sizes to help build up arm and wrist strength. Very similar to how some Maori men used a heavy Poi to strengthen their arms for using hand weapons like the Patu, which is a solid club. One day someone decided to throw and catch their Indian clubs, and later discovered that they could also get juggled. But ouch! It hurts when you hit yourself with a solid Indian club.
Now Juggling Clubs are hollow and much lighter. They also get balanced for better spin, so the handle comes back to your hand, and the handle is softer to be less punishing on the fingers.
