SO. I was able to get the normal 1.5 down easily enough(not sure why it's in the advanced section, but hey), and I was curious to see if anyone had tried to do it backwards. I've tried *MANY* times, but I can't seem to figure out how the pattern should go.

Anyone else tried it? Or does such a move even exist yet?

To be honest, I don't know much about 1.5s or what makes a 1.5 pattern, but I do believe that the move you're describing is not possible as a 1.5 pattern. The pendulum part of a normal 1.5 creates a poi head follows poi head state on it's forward stroke (which aligns with the forward spin), which allows both poi to pass to the other side of the body while maintaining the poi heads together state.

Doing this with backwards spin doesn't work because you can't get that poi head together state to pass to the other side, unless you do it behind your back (or if you're standing in wall plane, on the other side of you).

To clarify, backward does not meen reverse, there is a diference.
Reverse means doing opposite direction movements ie. 'anti-spin'.

Basicly every move has it's own backward twin, like weave
or weave with [Old link], originaly introduced by Durbs.

And they are pretty simple today.. start with backward weave
then simply stall one Poi and let it's head follow the head
of the backward spinning one..

Practise this on both sides to final continual backward 1.5
weave or whatever.

In a random "OMG - Durbs is on HoP" moment...
I'd like to say a) I didn't invent them, just put up a tutorial and played with them lots b) they were re-named to "Not 1.5s" and c)you can do them anti-spun and backwards but they're very different moves.

I might be back in 2 more years to follow this up.
