yeah...im trying to get this move down..and i feel that im pretty close to getting it...now the ultimate question...is it worth knowing?? true...its hard learning the rev 5 beat...then switching..but..will the audience see the dif between the reg 360 weave and 360 5 beat??

The way I see it (I mean physically see it).. is with just about any move, the more beats you but into them, assuming you keep your timing constant, the slower and more fluid it make your spinning look. [..and yet your body isnt really moving any faster] Does that make any sense..??What I personally like to try doing with lots of different moves.. once you get some nice recognisable patterns going.. is flicking in the odd 2 beat in amongst the 6 beats, or vice-versa.. that sort of thing. Then the difference between a 4 and 5 or a 5 and 6 beat becomes glaringly obvious. ...to me anyway..

As far as the looks go (360 3-beat vs 5-beat), I don't think it makes much difference. The difference is that once you feel comfterble with this(same goes for prety much any move) then you will be able to add your own stylistic tweaks that will make it look different.Even if you find that you never ever do a complete 360 5-beat weave after you learn it you still might find that being able to switch from forward to reverse 5 smoothly is helpfull in other parts of your twirling experiance.------------------'There is a fist pressing against anyone who thinks something compelling'

Way back when i was a spinning newbie, i always argued with my friend that learning a 5-beat wasn't worth it because it looked no different than a 3-beat. Basically it was my excuse for not being able to learn the 5-beat as quick as him. When i finally did learn it you find you can do a lot more with a 5-beat than a 3-beat. You can pull it over your shoulder and leave your hands over your should for a split second which adds alot your your spinning style. You can also pull it under your arm which looks wicked too. 5-beats are fun to do, they just feel right.------------------[]Dhuong-Vu Truong==== []Dhunky ====

5 beats are cool!!!!!the layman wont really be able to see exactly what your doing different, but they will appreciate the variety that comes into the routine. i agree with phunky on this one

good points dudes n dudetts...i guess it really doesnt matter to the normal watcher if its 5 or 3 beat 360...but who cares...it makes my wrists looser which allows my other moves to look smoother...yay! lol

hey what can i say that hasn't been said. although the audience may see no difference you will surely experience the feel of it and your routine will advance with leaps and bounds.
