I'm not a violent person, and I don't intentionally destroy things, however I seem be getting into a habit of breaking poi....
within the last week or so, I have:
-lost one practise poi over the neighbours fence, they are away so it cannot be reclaimed just yet.
-actually SNAPPED a metal clip on my glowstick poi. I have no idea how either...
-then when the chains were fixed, i broke another link.... they have now been shunned.
-since the glowstick poi remain in a state of disrepair, i got my fire poi out and the wick came off!! Luckily in this last case it was not destroyed, merely a temporary set back, and no, it was not on fire at the time....
I think I'm hexed, so i thought i'd post about it, maybe it'll break the curse...
Although on the upside, I have just received formal(ish) permission from the parental types to spin fire in their garden

That's a bad week, man. But good news about the garden spinning!

ok i know how to break curses. heres what you need
1) 3 above avergae size lawn gnomes
2) 2 green tree frogs
3) 4 feet of grass tied together
now, take the lawn gnomes, one under each arm and one under your chin, then tie the frogs to the grass, 2 feet per frog, now spin the frog poi while singing the theme from "The Sound of Music".............ok that should do it.........also when you do this, take a pic.........the um flash kills the demons around you........yea thats it........
You can't avoid pain by fencing yourself from it.
Some times you need the help of others more than anything else
But you have to let them close enough to help......

Or if the neighbours are away...simply HOP over the fence and grab your missing poi.
I did a fantastic leap over a chain link fence the other day. I got to the top and front flipped over it and landed on my feet.
I was dead chuffed and there were witnesses!

ah I see, so there is a magick ritual to break this evil curse!!! I shall go in search of lawn gnomes immediately, mr fish! presumably it also helps to post the pic on the forum right?

hehe... sowwy. I didn't mean to upset your frog earring! I'll be nice to it's friends in future, but unfortunately these magick spells always seem to entail some part of small inncocent creatures, at least these frogs would stay whole, witches in films are forever chopping off their legs!...

wahay, nice one jon on the jump! its wicked when there are witnesses to something cool like that unless u screw it up cos then would have been much worse! and Non, nice one on the garden spinning, i think i spin too fast cos my clips keep coming undone which is bloody annoying! and i also have a prob with totally breaking, bye bye rainbows strobes

It actually never occured to me to just jump over their fence.... but then it's the kind of fence that I'd probably take down with me when i landed, and i don't want it to turn into one of those "comedy" sequences where I have to rush round fixing the fence/ dead prize koi carp/ burnt down house before they come back... i don't think that sort of thing works outside of the movies...
and pyrowill, it was my clip that came undone on my fire poi too! but i think it unclipped when i got them ridiculously tangled up. I was going to get some rainbow strobes.... but.... if they can't stand up to these destructive tendencies of ours then maybe I'll leave it... of course you could always try frog/gnome spinning too

sometime we never see the most obvious answers to our questions...............
