hey do you think that fire dancing is better with or with out other people around? and where do you think it is best to dance? i know this sounds stupid but to me the people present and where you dance has a mojor efect on how you dance and the meaning/energy you have behind it

I love spinning when people are about. Not that I'm a show-off or nuffin (hehe) but like Cantus said, it's really good to have people to give you feedback, new ideas etc. It's also a lot safer to have at least one person about in case you go up like a cat dowsed in p*trol.
Having said that, I do quite often take my toys and go for long walks, and have secret burns all to myself. But (because I'm a show-off) I generally do it in places where people won't see me, but they will see the flames. (Cliff tops, top of hills etc.)
Good question though.

welcome
we have our weekly burn in town where randoms watch, but if raining we still have a spin at home out on the street. theres a lookout up from my place which is private and locals can see flames from houses etc, one night this whole family turned up coz the little kid saw me out his window and so mum&dad drove him up to c wot it was, they loved it, it was only when i started poi so the encouraging words were very cool and made me eager to learn more.
* people who dont like cats were probably mice in an earlier life *
