In following the crowd here, basic details are above smile
But in a little more detail:
I lived in Manchester until I was 18, then moved to Bristol to pursue a Psychology degree. I left that after a year, continued to live in Bristol until December 2006, and came home to sort money issues. Living with parents again at the moment, looking for work, and trying to improve my job opportunities with new qualifications and hopefully a driving licence.

I've been playing about with poi since the summer of 2005, but I've had rather little practice. I owned a pair of basic poi on cords, until the edges of the tails started to fray. I got myself a set of Nightbursts last summer while on holiday. Love them smile Also recently picked up a pair of fire-poi, which will remain unused until I feel ready. They were going cheap, so I thought I'd have them ready at least.

Right now I'm looking to improve my rather limited ability with poi, and maybe pick up one or two other skills as well. We'll see. Also, considering I'm on a photography course, I'm looking at ideas for a project for final examinations and what-not. The pictures and videos on here have really caught my eye, and I may decide to work something out of it. If anyone can provide pointers on taking such images, or even give me something to point my camera at...?

Anyway, to everyone reading this: hi smile

Haha, nah it's fine. Good to actually have someone there to help and teach me the basics.

The meet last night was great fun, so if I can be there for the next one, I will. I'll clear out the camera too.

Looking at uploading a bunch of pics at the moment, once I've picked the best, shrunk them down a little, and made myself some space that is.

It would appear that, after Sunday's meet in Manchester, I'll be shooting more pictures and more often, and focusing on the photgraphy side of this rather than the performing.

I'll still play, of course smile But theres something about capturing images of fire-spinners and stuff that I can't leave alone.

I've got a Flickr account, and I've started to upload pictures onto there for my college C&G course. So far theres 6 on there from the meet, but there'll be more fire-spinning pictures going up tonight or tomorrow.

This is my Flickr account (missed that part just then) :S

It's always good to have a photographer around. My boyfriend doesn't spin a bit but he loves to bring his gear down and shoot away ... that is when he's in town.
