Hi guys, due to an order mix up a while ago I found myself in possesion of 8 2 foot pieces (not 6, 1 foot pieces as my fuzzy memory made me think), instead of 6 feet. Does anybody have any idea what to make with it? ubblol

Cheers

James

could try using three pieces plaited together to make two wicks?

HI guys, thanks for the idea. Turn out I was sending ye on a wild goose chase because I have 4 pieces of 4 foot rope not 3 pieces of 2 foot rope.... changing title for future searches.

So like Lazy Angel suggests I tried braiding them inspired by blackbird and Jo Derry. I searched on google and found this page - page for braiding

2 bags suggested this mistake may be a bless and indeed it is.

I'm really happy with how these have turned out as fire ropes and should have better surface area and soakage than a 1 inch piece of rope.

Now just to figure out how to connect them to handles. If anyone has any idea, please let me know.

Thanks
James smile

Nice one James!!!

They look great...

I've attached my ropes by using a couple of keyrings at the start of the braid... then attaching the handles to those...

But it may mean you have to undo a bit of the knot...

Can you attach like Clare says then whip over it with kevlar thread?

well it's a bit clunky: but you could use a hosepipe clamp to attcach a loop of chain to the top of each, and attach handles to the chain
