Beautiful project hug You guys are amazing smile Tutorials are a lot of work BTDT before I could add good pictures/ graphics to the text and decided to go on travels...

Just a comment:

1) Contact staff tutorial: Looks like a beautiful resource for learning by text. Must have been an awful lot of work and she uses a nice way of putting things. The only thing I would suggest is to add graphics and/or BW pictures at some stage in the future as to make ppl get the hang easier. I'm a bit of a visual person I got to admit...

2) Indian Club Swinging: Funny behaviour when I try to download or print to .pdf - had to reset my resenting PC as to get out of the loop. So it's just a mere online resource as for now (and for me). Pity as it looks very interesting... Funny animated .gif

3) www.Imakokode.org doesn't work, but valur.us gives me the amazingly beautiful .pdf of "antispin". Beautiful resource, text, photos, graphics - nice work.

4) Club and pole spinning - simply awesome.

5) POIA MAI TAKU POI - beautiful work as well. Just couldn't take the time to read through some 200+ pages, yet.

6) Spinning and Geometry - both links don't work...

7) Indian Club swinging II - it just might be us.archive.org or my lap, they just don't get along with each other. Trying Orbit downloader and ... woohoo it works [/sigh]

8) PoiPoi basic and advanced - boah, that's what I call a nice manual hug shall make it part of any workshop! I ubblove it Monkey, very cool

Just my 2ct

the best smiles are the ones you lead to wink

I've got asked by Rob, Rev and other to translate Poi book
I'm author into English.

Despite it would have some difficulties I can do, even add
new and up to date information at all.

But I'd like to know your opinion if such 'guide book'
would bring new light to Poi knowledge base.

keep on practising,

I would welcome it, even if it is just one concept in there that clicks for me it would be worth the time spent reading it. smile

It looks like a really nice composition to me.

I think it´s always good to have as many different sources as possible.
In club swinging (for example) I first had A.Jillings, followed by a modern german one from Dirk Schäfer (Lemmi), then Ben Richter, some old books and finally the W.J.Schatz (which I would have liked to be my first (and only!))

There are significant differences between them giving different possibilities of developing "style" or how to make the same move looking different (for ex. by shortening the length of swing or circle.)

Even if I don´t understand any of the czech words, I would like to try a translation from english to german.

Arm mode 8, poi mode 20 (or any other multiple of A:2, P:5)
This lines up nicely with in a goofy flower:
Arm mode 8, poi mode -16 (or any other multiple of A:1, P:-2)
You get 2 antispin 3-loop cycles for every one cycle of the precession of the in-spin loops. So the whole thing is repeating every 2 arm circles. The poi heads meet in interesting ways and the petals line up in interesting ways because the in-spin loops are precessing in an anti-spin direction.

Weeeee!

Hey, newgabe, I'm currently studying to be a teacher... so I'd love to read your project if you wouldn't mind me having a look. Pretty please with a poi on top?

When is it due?? My neices primary school has some sort of circus program going... i don't know precisely how its integrated but I do know that they make devilsticks and poi as well as learn some basics with them, but I'm uncertain precisely what. Would you like me to go find out more about it??

(As a side note, I became a fairly cool uncle with my butterfly triple inverted, isolated antispin hoosiwhatsits while the poi craze lasted at her school which was right up the road from where I live.)
