hullo all!!
a sweet talented crazy nutter told me i needed to do an intro thread...again...so here it goes!!!
name: margita (yep, that's my real name!)

i've been twirling poi for a while now...maybe a year? i'm still pretty crap, but i have fun!! 
fave colour: in no particular order...red, blue, black, orange and purple!!!
fave movie: amelie, kill bill (1&2), moulin rouge, shrek (1&2!), and lots of others i can't think of now!
fave music: lots of different bands! too many to mention here!!! but i spose i better give you some...whitlams, waifs, john bulter trio, marilyn manson, rob zombie, jimmy styles & the easy company (triple j unearthed!!), missy higgins, george, augie march, cat empire, gorgeous...and a ton of others!!!
fave food: don't really have one...but i love chocolate!!
fave book: the power of one (bryce courtenay) & the bride stripped bare (anonymous)
ummm...what else? my family is totally nuclear...mum, dad & two kids...the folks have even been married for 28 years! yikes!
ummm...i'm single again and enjoying it at the moment!! (was with this guy for over 4 years, and it's been strange adjusting to just doing what i want without worrying about anyone else!! but i'm loving it!!!)
so there's me!!

Chokaro traveled a lot and had an elegant solution to the transportation problem. He had a magic pumpkin. He only had to blow into the pumpkin and out of it came a horse. Chokaro therefore is always shown with a pumpkin of which a horse is peeping out.

you have amazing timing too...i had a really bad day today but you've made me smile - as always!! gnor that is the oddest creature ever!!!
*giggle*i saw the saddest thing today...it was pouring with rain & there was this shetland (sp?) pony (y'know the short ones?!) standing in a muddy field. he was dark grey anyway but he was just standing there...sopping wet...& (not that ponies really have facial expressions...do they?) had this look on his face that was like a big giant sigh. like...i'd move but i can't be bothered cos i couldn't possibly get any more wet!! it was tragic & funny at the same time...

hmm...i need some help! a good friend of mine has asked me to write him a personal reference.
which is fine, a little unusual, but he's a wonderful guy so i'll do it...only thing is...i've never written a reference at all! let alone a personal reference!! what the beguck do you put in a personal reference?!? do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and good to eat!

*how and for how long you've known him eg at work, through sport etc
* good qualities that you have known in him that relate to work..
eg punctuality, attention to detail, articulate, fair minded, responsible etc
*leave out things that don't relate to work...
eg he's a good lay, gets good weed, can spin double staff ( unless you describe that as committed to objectives and willing to put in the time to achieve his aims blah blah)
* what sort of jobs you think he is suited for ( specially if the ref is for a particular job.. obviously you describe that sort of work) Otherwise describe the sorts of things he wants to do...
* a contact number for you so you can verbally back the reference up if required....otherwise they aren't worth much. Employers will usually onlycontact referees once an applicant has been shortlisted after an interview, so you won't get a lot of requests for verification.

parents are odd...and WAY too organised sometimes!!
my mum keeps asking me what i'm doing at christmas!? if i'm going to woodford!? 
that's ages away!! but her persistance has paid off...i have plans...well, tentative ones...vague, even! so i'll drive to sydney with the folks for christmas with rellies...then hang out in sydney & surrounds for a couple of days (the folks will drive on to melbourne)...then i'll fly back to bris...maybe hang out there for a day or two...then eventually find my way back to the coast!!
oh, & then i spose i better head back to the sticks in time to go back to work!! what do ya reckon? not back christmas plans eh?? do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and good to eat!
