Hey there everyone,

Well, now that I'm close to post number 300 I thought I'd do an intro thread... it seems like I'll be hanging around for a while now biggrin

Edit:

Yep, this is all changed cos I'm not feeling as sentimental as I was when I wrote the last intro.

I'm 28, live outside Belfast in Northern Ireland, run the fire performance group FirePoise (www.firepoise.com), like to travel and good music.

My myspace page is www.myspace.com/clarepalmer

Take care

Circus school was interesting. They are all very professional in there (there was a couple doing that climb a rope and dangle by your feet routine) and I don't think they were overly impressed by me turning up wanting to swing ribbony-things around.

Poi is definitely not big in Northern Ireland ("oh, I think some people do a little bit of that as part of their act")

Righto.

But I'll keep going back, because I think I taught myself the 5bt reverse weave today. I know I have it on my left hand side, but not sure about right. It doesn't seem twisted enough.

Skulduggery... thanks so much for the chocolates... I think I'll pass on the shiny ones, but you're welcome to some of the Cadburys chocolate fingers I brought into work with me, hmmmmmmm.

Pink... ah. Well, you know pink can look wonderful on some people and amazing in a sunset, but it doesn't really suit me. I'm more a dark green, blue with the occasional deep purple kindof woman.

And hello young dreaded badger. biggrin

So are you all having a lovely day?! I can't believe autumn arrived overnight. On Friday it was warm and pleasant, on Saturday it was cold, rainy and miserable.

Bah.

Love Clare xo

Lol... exactly!!

How hard can it be to drag yourself up a rope with nothing but your upper body strength, then dangle by one foot, upside down, while someone else spins you round at great speeds?

Pah... I can do the BtB weave!

Lisa, me too!!!

Let me guess, you can do the left hand side, but not the right?! Bah, maybe I'm doing it already, but it just doesn't seem to be twisted enough.

Will keep practising, then show you in Cork... I can't count these beat thingys myself at all - as long as its more twisted than the last one, then its clearly 5 beat, right?!!! ubblol

I'm heading back to the circus school today, but I might get a pair of jeans first... it's getting embarrassing showing up in work in my only pair which have huge black burn marks all over them biggrin

hello y'all... this is a special announcement for anyone who happens to read it...

Channel 4 is continuing the run of the 13 'lost' episodes of the marvellous Monkey tonight (channel 4, 1.15am)!!!

They started a couple of weeks ago... but they're all hilarious. Tonight, a demon abducts women from a small village apparently (how much innuendo can you fit in one kickass episode?!)

If you remember Monkey from your childhood, running round the playground (cos you HAD to play outside in those days - hail, thunder, lightning or snow) - pretending to karate kick your mates and break twigs with a dramatic hiiiiiya - you'll appreciate this.

Happy New Year m'darlin', hope you have a truly amazing '05.

Are you gonna come to [Old link]? Would be amazing to meet you in the flesh (as it were wink) at last.

Incidentally, why wouldn't a Chrimble Card be appropriate?

Cantus - wayhey. Kinder tree... hope you get lots of lovely kinder toy children.

The challenge is to construct the toy in the shortest time possible, then deconstruct it and see if it fits back in the egg. Ahhh. Too much time spent in Amsterdam coffee shops biggrin

And you are very welcome here in the north. However, I might be leaving soon - primarily cos it's too damn cold.

Hellos lovely Mags. I didn't think it was appropriate cos I haven't spoken to you in ages... but I'm glad you got it.

I'm not sure if I will make Falmouth cos I'm really saving money at the minute - want to leave here by May - but I am going to go to the BJC (the weekend after Falmouth) - so please, please come up to that!! It would be great to see you there...

Hope all is going well with you

Love and hugs to you all
