WE'RE SLACK DON'T BELEAVE ANY ON THIS THREAD (apart from maybe the most recent post)

If you want to meet up with any smelly hippy fire spinners in bristol post something to ask when and where people are meeting up. most people are quite nice and will happily help you or if thats not your thing ask me and i'll abuse you for no reason biggrin

p.s. Normally we meet up on sunday 2:30-5pm at the Student union, Queens Road, Clifton (But this only runs in term time)

Oh yeah b4 you ask no you don't need to be a student

Cor, you lot have been even more absent than me lately... well maybe not but a group absence from this thread suggests that spinning in Bristol no longer exists so is now officially dead?! In fact, I was in bristol more recently than the last post here so maybe that means that spinning in Bristol is dead except for when I'm there?? ubbloco It must be a bit like the whole world not existing unless I'm looking at it in which case it's probably all just a figment of my imagination anyway... which you all are...

Hey Matt,

Good to see you a couple of weeks ago.

I think people mainly go to Muller Road for Juggling on Mondays and the student union for circsoc on Sundays, but i think that only runs in term time which you might be a little late for.

There used to be fire nights on Weds, i think Loz is trying to get them started back up again. St. Andrews Park normally.

If not, get some people's numbers and ring them up. Somebody will come out and play.

Perhaps an afternoon BBQ on the downs followed by fire is called for now the weather seems to be perking up!?!?!?

Gayle.....!

Were any of you Bristolians at that protest thingy about Stokes Croft on Saturday afternoon? I was picking up my house keys for the move and waiting for the bus and saw lots of colourful people (and someone who looked like Garthy but I wasn't sure) walking past.

Yea me and Oli and Tim were thinking of seeing if people would mind moving the meet to st andrews park, apart from it being closer its also less exposed so doesnt get as windy and its a nice place to hang out.

I've been told circusoc starts again on the 27th but if its nice weather next sunday a few of us are going to head to victoria park for a play (just up the road from the union, walk up the hill and its at the top)

Ed, look forward to having you with us mate smile

Um.. Is there anything going regularly round Bristol at the moment? I've heard rumours of either time or place, but seemingly not both..

I didn't want to try find out too hard until I got a job- I know what I'm like, and I would have tried to find work round spinning, rather than the other way round, which I can't afford to do.. But now having joined the wage slaves, could any nice person tell me of any meets? smile

Not that i'm in Bristol anymore but,...

Monday nights is juggling club in Horfield reform church up on Muller Rd.

Other than that...Bristol is slack city. During the summer the gang normally hang out in St Andrews park in the evenings.

My piece of advice - just call people and organise things yourself. Call Tim or Conor or Oli and say, "oi slack hippies you meeting St Andrews park tonight at 7?" and they'll say, "uh..yeah ok" and voila!

Never pick up a duck in a dungeon...

I've been up to St Andrews park quite a few times in the early evenings (it's one of the shortest ways home from where I've started working) but no-one's been there.. At least, no-one I recognised..

Unless they all run away when they see me coming, which is possible wink
