Heres the current list of object manipulation stuff for adelaide that im aware of
Wednesday Twirling
Hop Contact People - Josh, Katinca, ben-ja-men
What - staff, contact staff, double staff, poi, drumming, small bon fire in sand bunker (not visible from the road)
Where - brighton beach approximately 50 m south of the jetty
When - every week provided its not raining
Fuel - a little is brought so please bring some along
Starts - a bit before sunset
Finishes - late
Friday Twirling

Where - under the king william street bridge next to jolleys boat house

Friday Twirling on Full Moon
was run by the adelaide university pagan association at henley beach but been moved to coincide with the friday sessions in town (listed here so people dont chase those twirling sessions that ppl talk about but dont know the details to)

"There's nothing on television" at Christie Beach

Friday Twirling at the rotunda is on as per usual

Where - at the rotunda in elder park

Starts - 7.30 pm

*bump* ive update the original post with its details for all you adelaidians im thinking about getting a uni group started so that we
a. have funding
b. have an indoor venue to practise in winter
c. have music equipment stuff supplied
d. have a place to put on parties supplied by the uni
e. everyones covered by the uni insurance
for it to work itll need a few ppl to be keen on it all happening so that the ball gets rolling and reaches where its ment to be. now that its all sunny like being back at the rotunda is quite nice buuuuuut with all the public exposure comes all the public idiots any thoughts on another location thats well lighted, in the center of the city, safe and away from the eyes of drunk idiots? im thinking maybe on of the uni lawns? away from the uni bar ....

Can I just add that the Friday meet has been going off lately with about 70 people in attendence last week. Amazing drum jams have been taking place, with the battery powered PA providing doof during the drummers rest periods. If you live in Adelaide or nearby and you havent been down, I strongly recommend you do come down - there arent many fire meets like the one we have here in any country I've been to (and I've been to a few
)So yeah! come down while the nights are still warm!

This week Dj Psyrush, Automated Dreaming and guests bring stomping psy tunes mixed live through the battery PA for your twirling pleasure. Of course the funkadelic drum circle will still be in effect, DJs are going round robin with the drum circle, so come on down!

Ive got a meeting with the community association that runs the site on Wednesday ngiht, so I should know about whether it will happen or not by thursday...
kate and I are thinking the w/end of Oct 1 and 2 as 3 is a public holiday in SA and NSW.
