I'm sorry guys to bring this subject into the areana but I just found out Stephen Jay Gould died earlier this week of the C

If you don't know who he was, he was a brilliant thinker and writer on evolutionary theory and gave alot of knowledge to the general public at large, to help society understand life.

As someone who has studied life in its environment and now primates, this news is of great sadness to me. As one colleague has put it: "The world is a sadly duller and a less informed place, without him."

Like I said, sorry if this isn't a fab thread but hey...
