I read the other day that organised crime makes up for 10% of America's income.
Surely that can't be?
Can it?
confused

So what your saying is, if I take just ONE more pill...

I'm, actually, surprised that organized crime doesn't make up more of America's income...And that would be reported income, who knows what else goes unknown...and I'm only assuming that includes anything drug-related.

What else would be included in that? Casinos - some are crooked. Drug rings, Car theft rings, scams...things like that.

maybe all the white collar stuff too that org crime gets into. org crimes sole reason is to make money, so it shouldnt be too surprising.

It took a while, but once their numbers dropped from 50 down to 8, the other dwarves started to suspect Hungry.

Sound accurate to me. It will be mostly drug related I imagine.

Drugs are not organized crime. That 10% number sounds low..but the reason is because organized crime usually involves a legitimate source of income. A business that laundries money or embezelment. From there it stems out to things likeillegal distributions of property. Drugs can be invloved but usually way way down the line.

Drugs accouts for its own percentage of american income...probably more, but most drug dealers that actually make money of their drugs dont have real jobs, thus their income doesnt really get put back into the economy in way that effects a business they own or a consumable they produce which drives other businesses..ect ect So it very hard to track something like that.

ill just stick to gambling....its less complicated

The Mob has to launder its money some how and that creates a lot of "legitiment" bussiness. 10% I don't know but I would imagine it is pretty high.

Haha, Bush has removed about 10 trillion dollars from the american people and deposited a lot of it into private companies, america had around $5 trillion when clinton was in power, now america is about $5 trillion in debt.

Of course america doesn't pay back it's debts, it just sucks money away from the people who work hard for it, into the pockets of the filthy rich.

THIS IS A VERY BIG CRIME

and involved 200% of american monetary wealth.

Of course bush will say that the war in iraq is expensive, but i think that's only $100 billion a year or so, most of which goes straight into big american corporations.

The whole thing is a set up to take money from the tax payer and give it to private republican companies.

random, apparently true thing:

Americas defence budget for a day (might be a year, not entirely certain) would solve world poverty, forever.

whether it be for a year, a month or a day it is worth a mention. but then, america has censored off anough people, it is almost entitled to spend that much in defending itself. this figure does show the potential good the US could do in the world if it prioritised differently.

now this isnt an attack on the US or anything, just a statement of my thoughts. im in NZ with a pop around 4 million, i cant even concieve of what a trillion dollars is, our government deals with billions at the best of times.
