Hello! My Name is Olli, I am from Hannover, Germany, and I am quite new to both this forum and to poi spinning. I started spinning in summer this year after having seen lots of poi spinning on mediefal fairs and it is really fun.

At the moment I am studying electrical engineering here in Hannover. My hobbies, beside spinning and medieval fairs, are electronics, reading, inline skating, swimming and diving. I would like to build my own LED poi (the threads in the forum are very helpful, by the way) and have some ideas yet, but currently I do not have the time to design it.

So I think that's it for the moment. See you!

Designing your own would be way cool.... How far along are you in your degree?

Cheers!

First of all, thanks for the warm welcome. I am nearly finished with my degree, and (hopefully) will be in spring or summer next year. There is only one exam (spring next year) and my final year project (I'm just working on it, has to be finished 'till January 2006) missing.

Hello, all of you!

A small update on my person: I am finished with my exam, and now I am finally an electrical engineer with diploma! And best of all, I got a job seamlessly after leaving university!bounce2

There is, of course, a catch. At work we are not allowed to browse the Internet for private reasons, and so I cannot join the forum as often as I would like (although I am mainly reading and seldom writing). But I like my job, and that is what counts.
