Good morning beautiful people,
I thought I could share a little something with you.
I have been in guatemala for the past weeks, living amazing experiences , some of which I have shared with you.
the day I posted about Sapita in Guatemala, I found out also short after that my grandmother had passed away.
Many of you know that she is my soulmate, has taught me and given me love peace and light.
The loss of her, finding that out AFTER the funeral was quite shaking and hard. I was so far away it took me a while to realize I could still connect myself to her and she was at peace and it was all good.
Saturday night I had friends around who played music, drums and guitar and singing and I lit up for her.
It was by lake Atitlan, moon almost full above my head, peace around, soft music and fire.
I shut my eyes and danced for a long time and I swear she was right here dancing with me and embracing me.
Now that I think of it it was not dancing to say goodbye , it was more a dance to remember and a dance to hug her...
Fire dancing has changed a lot of things in my life, but this time was stronger than anything.
I know this sounds terribly esoteric whereas in fact it is so simple an experience...

some times we find that, in truth we are never far from those around us no matter were they are, it is merly the job of relising that distance and life does not separate the souls of the ones we love from us that lets us understand we are never alone.
you are so very lucky to have had someone so closs to you, and very special for relising they are never going to be far from you!

I'm sorry to hear about your Grandmother, but what you did to remember her sounds beautiful and I'm sure she's proud of you whereever she may be.

Cass, so sorry to hear about your loss.
To me, firespinning is a celebration. It is a joyous, exuberant thing. And so, when I spin fire, it is always to celebrate, whether I'm celebrating an achievement or the life of someone who has passed on.
I see your choice as a celebration of your grandmother's life, which is the best way to bid her farewell and safe journeys.

I am deeply moved by your beautiful tribute to your Grandmothers life...
It is obvious that you were very close and that she was watching over you as you danced for her.. I just know that she will be smiling on you from heaven and holding you close during your steps through this life journey...Whatever you need to tell her you can...she hears you still...I send angels to hold both you, and your grandmother close during this time..may your heart heal and forge an even stronger connection with your Grandmother now that her spirit resides in your heart light.
