Assuming you are using fans of a similar or identical design to those offered by HomefPoi, there are two comfortable ways of holding your fire fans. The only difference between the two methods is whether or not you wish to readily perform spinning moves involving the spinning ring (or trigger ring).

Method 1:

Lay the base of the fan atop your open palm so that the base of the large ring is at the base of your palm. Close your second, third and fourth digits around the outside of the large ring.

Method 2:

Lay the base of the fan atop your open palm so that the base of the large ring is at the base of your palm. Close your second and fourth digits around the outside of the large ring, but extend your third digit so that it hooks inside the smaller spinning ring.
