i've been catching my fire poi now for a while, i pull then from in front of me catch them (whilst lit) and throw them out ion front of me, if you get a good photographer it looks like your throwing fire! well good!
who's a dirty chav then ???

Someone in one of the COL videos managed that, I think Sage did it. Amazing act, but it was a very graveful move. I'd imagine it looks good on camera. It's very impressive, I've been meaning to try.

i do a trick, where i grab hold of (preferably both) poi, light a smoke, then throw them inwards, into a butterfly.
I find the easiest way to get that grab is to fold your arms so that your hands are near your ears, on top of your shoulders, while flicking the poi back, so the chains wrap around your upper arm and the heads land (hopefully) in your hands.

best to do this near the start of the burn, ive discovered that kevlar gets hot enough for minor burns later on in the spin....
