Posted: i prefer 80mm for my contact poi, good size/weight and they are big enough to do most contact tricks with, I also own a 100mm set which rock for contact moves but are a little too big for some techy stuff. As for the meteor there ain't much difference but i'd opt for the 8mm for finer control.

Posted: I like thinner leashes for meteors whenever possible. The thinner the leash, the less weight. The less weight in the middle, the easier it is for the ends to maintain the weight towards the ends and keep the whole rig taut.
