I have been cought doing multispeed moves... for instance I can do a 3 beat weave where one side only does the moves for a single 3 beat weave but the other side spins at double the pace and does two times the move but they still work as one.

Make sence... is there a name for this or am I just playing around too much?

i dont see how that would work? not in a weave any how!. you would be crossed and tangled with no way out.

why multi speed?, have you thought about multi beat?, works nice in butterflies and waves 2:3 timing?.. gives the feeling of one slow one fast, but not, your making two circles with one and three with the other.

just a thought.

I need to put up a vid because it is more like a multi beat then... one side is spinning at dubble the pace and they do pass through each other with out tangles.

We're working on moves like what you're describing in a class I'm in now -- the term my teacher uses is 'polyrhythmic' where the two poi are moving in different timing -- one poi does 2 revolutions for every 1 the other one does, for example. Anyone who plays piano or drums will likely be accustomed to this concept. It's kind of like one hand playing quarter notes while the other hand is playing eighths.

taken out of context i must seem so strange

Sounds intruiging. I'd really like to see the vid. I think I've fooled around with that in the butterfly thing, it is pretty cool, but never with the weave.

Don't mind me, just passing through.
