You'll find more posts to more links to video clips in every post I make in this thread - Look out for 3 angels angel angel angel

smile

Todays video for your pleasure:

Baton twirling - Sheryl Welykholowa, Jill Ford, Stacy Singer - Triple Threat

Linky linky

Details: On stage probably 2002 . A super tight performances from world champion standard baton twirlers.

Amazingly talented trio including Stacy Singer doing monster rolls - a move apparently invented for her and remamed matrix by the edinburgh staff twirlers.

See Glitzy stuff, 3 baton juggling, contact sequence and some qualilty strutting about.

If you like this, make a post below. If you have any requests, I can post them too. biggrin

Here's the link to the website of

https://www.ayaco.org/aya.html

Online home for the fantastic Mr Om with Katanka.

Poke around a bit and you will find their promo video Metamorphose

Lots of contact of all styles, bits of daftness bits of diabolo. But more importantly - a performace rather than just "doing tricks" and a lot of fun.

Ludovic/ Mr Om: is a good friend who came to stay with me last year, He is a legend of the contact world, incredibly tallented at 1 ball and multiball, and does yoga poses with a ball on top of his head!!

Katanka - I've never met, but all reports say that she is groovy too.

and now it seems also Miss Frix has joined the company smile wow

The awesome miss Frix (source of my fluffy pink ears who I owe 28 euro worth of good Karma from the last time I saw her at EJC2004.

Enjoy:)

PS - Mr Om is the only other person I know who can do any kind of contact with 11 balls - its in the clip

NYC Ditto. I completely agree, with that- although usually I'm not quite so eloquent.

It the same reason that I don't enjoy films like "crouching tiger, laughing hyena"

CGI fakery oh NO frown

Jackie Chan really doing hard crazy censored. oh YES biggrin (the mans is totally brilliant)

Rev: I think thats also part of why I don't relly watch wrestling either smile I can't "suspend my disbelief" this is the modern era of hyper-reality.

Cole, you better get in quick, there are 2 pairs left on my desk in white and 2 pairs in orange.

I don't care for wrestling at all... redneck soap-opera is how we refer to it... but one of the teachers on my thesis committee (also really good philosopher of mind and language) has fallen in love with it.. which is why him and others are doing work on this whole 'suspension of 'suspension of disbelief' '.. its not the suspension that you need for wrestling.. its the second order suspension.. which I guess presupposes that to some extent you can do the first order one.. haha.. I can't do it.. its still men in tights fondling each other.. at least japanese and mexican wrestling has acrobatics.. better sotrylines too I'm told.. a well.. not my cup-o-tea

When I'm watching Penn and Teller on TV, I'm certain that the card tricks they're doing look just as good in person.

In a strange coincidence they just had Penn and Teller do their "clear cups and balls" trick on TV this morning.

biggrin

I stand behind my love of them. I saw them a few times when I was 14 and have loved them ever since. Mostly because they hung out with me during the intermissions. biggrin

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

(not qiute poi poi poi, but Flags Flags Flags

Axis Danz Flagging

https://www.axisdanz.com/index.asp?PAGE=viewourreel

Not quite poi, but flagging from this US performance troup.

Most of them seem to work in TV, so unsurprisingly. this is a very well produced promo.

Its well worth having a look at the "performance highlights" slideshows, showing shots of impressive looking shows -

Mind you their, performance highlights do include a "Mariah Carey Music Video" ubblol

Not necessarilry anything special in terms of twirling, but worth seeing the video for some great moments where they show some big choregraphed twirling shows performed by multiple pro dancers smile

Video Overall Rating 68%

+ performance, twirling, filming, editing and dancers

- technical, and those orange and green flags wink

Smiles

Hey, that's George!

He gives flagging classes downtown, I've taken a few. He's a great guy. We've crossed paths many times.

Yeah, you can all laugh at the thought of me trying to keep up with a tall goodlooking well-moving dance troupe.

Yup, George is great. They do all sorts of Gay fundraisers as well as performing at various international venues. Local New York Boy done well.

Lots of dancing and good flowy dancy poses.

Loving flags at the moment. There are couple of recent threads in the videos forum with some nice flag footage. I hadn't realised that its a whole seperate art form quite distinct from poi where they use flags with no handles. I'm going to get me some of them! Cheers Drew. ubbrollsmile

Hello normal people - Not poi, not staff, just a daft song today:

# The internet is really really great... for porn.

There is no nudity, or bad language in this clip, its completely Safe for work. PG rated

"The Internet is for Porn" song from avenue-Q

With some other folks making a computer game animation too it:

https://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5430343841227974645

one of those monsters does a charleston step

Here's the original source of the genius on this, but its not the whole song - I wanna see this show, it looks great:

Avenue-Q

https://www.avenueq.com/videoclips.html

Watch out, its catchy this one, you may be singing this song all day.

73% for the soundtrack, I'm not rating the animation.

Enjoy.

We took my brother to see Avenue Q when he was in town a couple of weeks ago. It's a brilliant show, though I was a little shocked by the full puppet nudity eek

Bit naughty. Glad we hadn't taken the mole along.

Happily NYC had the week off because you're right - we couldn't stop singing
