So I'm cleaning my apartment and listening to Madonna's "Justify My Love" (flashback, I know) and of course I get distracted by a pair of poi and get my groove on...
What are some other hip shakin', gyrating, grinding, sexy, sultry songs that lend themselves to spinning?
[I'm always scared when I start a music thread that it will degrade into every other of the countless threads. Can we please keep this one on sexy, sultry, make out songs that one can spin to?]

I just re-read NYC's initial post that started this thread, and I don't know why, but I have this mental image of NYC vacuuming the apartment in white patent leather kitten heeled calf length boots. I just don't know why...

CR-UMB! I just downloaded "Heat seeking pleasure machine"... I'm gonna put that in the "I'm not hot enough to pull that off without my partner laughing hysterically at me" category. I know there are some guys that are actually hot enough to actually say "I'm a heat seeking pleasure machine" but I'm not sure if I want to be one of them.

Portishead - most of their stuff is dreamy spinning and make out music. 'Roads' is probably my favourite track. I love the Foo Fighters, I just never thought of them as makeout music. I spin to their stuff sometimes, but mostly I just drive around in my car screaming the lyrics at all passersby (not really, but I'm often tempted). All their albums are fantastic. Still getting used to the latest one though, as I only picked it up last week (it's release kinda slipped by me).
I love Gomez too, but again never really thought of it as makeout music (or maybe I have?). Defintely great for spinning in my book though - especially the song "revolutionary kind"
Whale is also fantastic music and very spinable, particularly the album "all disco dance must end in broken bones". But again, not make out music in my head. Perhaps a precursor to makeout music and really excellent with a nice buzz (as are Gomez and the Foo Fighters), but not really my idea of music for the main event.
I'm sure I've had my ice cream to all these bands, but I'm just saying I probably wouldn't get up and put them on specifically for that reason.
I've got a few others to add if this is becoming more of a list of "music we really like" thread as opposed to music for dark environs where nafarious activities such as poi or sucking face are intended to be prevalant. I'll wait and see how it evolves though.
BTW, I forget who said it, but I totally agree with the Jeff Buckley (RIP). Outstanding makeout music! I had forgotten about that one. Silly me. Also reminds me to mention the Twin Peaks soundtrack (though perhaps neither of these are realy for poi, but I suppose they could be).

Oh yeah! I also just thought of the Cowboy Junkies. Especially their greatest hits album. Mind you the bulk of their music takes a bit of getting used to for most people, but I've never failed in a concerted effort to convert someone to their music. But a few of their songs, especially their covers of Blue Moon and Sweet Jane are natural make out songs. The singers voice is just yummie! I've seen people spin to their music too, but I have to be really mellow to do so.

This post is probably a bit late.. but BT's song Dreaming is one of the best songs I have ever heard.. very trance-y. But you can spin to it. There is a single with some remixes on it.. somewhere.. I like Massive Attack too!

If you liked the Morcheeba track, then check out Tosca - Suzuki. It was mentioned earlier and is definitely slow and sexy. Some other good one's are Theivery Corporation's "Mirror Conspiracy" & "Abductions & Reconstructions", Nick Warren's "Back to Mine" and Perfecto Collection "After Hours" (third disk). Each of these disks has some really sultry music to groove out to.
