ello everyone!!! i've been reading over the forums for a while now and i decided to start posting because i have a some questions and i love putting in my two cents smile
i just started learning to spin poi about a month ago. the first day i had the friggin things i bonked myself in the head so hard in the same spot, that i had a headache for 3 weeks. ouch. but i think it's worth it cuz it's such an exilerating past time, and i've always enjoyed watching poi at raves and stuff.

so i suppose i'll fill out the lil questionarre provided:

Name: danelle, but i go by nelle

Location: topeka kansas. gross.

Hometown: a small cow town in western kansas

Birthday (sign?): i'm an april baby! i proudly sport a taurus tattoo on my neck, i am the epitome of the bull.

Age: 23

Sex: female.

Occupation(s): i work with people with disabilities, both physical and mental. i'm a nurse aide and a home health aide, along with being an attendant care provider for a lovely autistic girl.

Favorite Food(s): oh gosh. mexican, or sushi. i love food tongue2

Favorite Color(s): i'm a fan of the entire rainbow.

What is the wing speed of an unladen swallow? .....you know, that's an excellent question, hell if i know smile

Toys: just bought an led sock poi grin

Hobbies other than the obvious: i LOVE to cook. i also enjoy art in any forms, writing, reading, and going to concerts/raves/festivals.

Education: ehhh. i have a few college credits, and my cna/hha and first aide certificates...

Favorite Book(s): right now i'm reading breaking open the head by daniel pinchbeck. it's a book about shamanism in contemporary life. i cant choose a fave; but i'm also a big fan of hunter s. thompson (god rest his fiesty soul.)

Favorite Movie(s): anything with will ferrell or anything introspective. what the bleep- down the rabbit hole is a gooden.

Godzilla vs. a Star Wars Star Destroyer. Who wins? Why? : godzirrah!! cuz i hate star wars :X

Favorite TV show(s): the food channel, discovery channel, animal planet, and i have to be honest- i really REALLY love hannah montana...

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up): culinary artist/entrepreneur grin

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: it would be obnoxious to post all of my favorites, but lately my favorite genres are dubstep, progressive trance, and anything electric. radiohead sticks out as a favorite over the years.

Do you think these pants make my butt look too big?: your pants make your butt look fabulous. that shirt makes your butt look fabulous! hell, even your scarf makes your butt look awesome grin

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): there's this stuff called "birthday cake icecream" you can get in little cups at walmart, they are truly whats up.

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella?* nutella is pretty damn good.

anyways, i'm excited to get to know you all:D
the information in these forums have been immensely helpful already.

anyways- more about me.
i'm a very optimistic person and i've never met a stranger- infact, one of my favorite things in life is meeting new people and hearing what interesting things they have to say. i'm very outgoing, down to earth, and a little insane. i really enjoy being naked. it's kinda strange, but i love it. i have had lots of piercings, but i've taken some of them out. i also dye my hair crazy colors, constttantttllyy. i'm very open and experimental with my sexuality; i find beauty within the soul, not just what's on the outside. i'd say i'm a dirty hippy, but hygiene is important to me.. although i love to wear the same clothes for days on end. i really love bananas. they make me happy.

Welcome to HoP and more power to you for being a CNA/RNA it's not an easy job, I gave up my DDA CMT because it was too intense for my sensitive self. It takes a special lot of people who can be strong in those settings. smile

What is a real crumpet like? If it is anything like what Tastycake makes I would not want to spread anything on it...

Crumpets are made with the same batter as pancakes, but with half the milk. In addition, they are fatter and smaller. smile

EoN: I always use two cups of milk, 2 eggs, some oil, 2 cups of flour and a cup of sugar.

Add sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice when done. smile
