first off Sod Photons, who needs an on/off flippy switch on something you can visibly see when you can just produce little balls of lights at your finger tips (nearly) invisibly?

For anyone who knows me they'll know what it's all about. i've hunted youtube but the only videos i've found that were any good were actually done with photons, so, watch something with photons and they imagine the same thing but being able to go "hey, look, there's nothing in my hand" whenever you like.

next time we're in Spiders i'll get some video of me and alex pulling lights out of the Exit signs and people drinks and whatnot and just generally playing with drunkards heads.

but yeah, i encourage everyone to go out and get a pair! do iiiit!

(i'd say all you fire spinners should go buy finger flashers too, but last time i suggested it no one really cared, we'll see how this goes)

I have had a pair of these for a while. REALLY fun to freak people out. I've been into learning the whole conjuring with the photons thing for a good while and it always goes over well at the parties.

However, don't store these things in your bag, one of mines batteries died from accidently being pressed inside the bag. Well that or its LED is messed up.

Still, gonna buy some more soon here, other colors and such.

woa, those are expensive. you can find a pair for about 15quid or less if you look around.
store them in a smarties tube!

and wherever you should be using a photon, use a d'lite!

Larry, you were looking at the price in dollars, not pounds. That site had them priced at $16.95 - $29.95.
15 quid is about $30, so not a bad price I'd say. smile

My friend does a great dlites routine to start his magic show. It's more like a how many orafices can he put it in, pull it out of thing.
He's working on building a presentation so that it goes "in" one color and when he "pulls it out" it's another.

this all sounds scarily familier!
i use green lites mostly in the ears out the nose, in the mouth, out the backside, then i'll do it again and bring out a red one, that usually gets a "uuurrrgh" reaction

I really liked the way the d'lights looked on the videos on the net and i saw a guy at a magic store using some.

So i orderd what i thought was a blue pair of ebay.
i got them to day and all i can say is i am very disapointed.

the first reason is mainly my fault i did'n read the posting properly and it said in small print that i was only getting one d'light

the other two reasons are not so much my fault

secondly the ebay post said new in box. when i recived it. the d'lite was scrunched up in a peice of news paper in a clearly not new box.

The last reason i was very disapointed was actualy to do with the product it self . I have smallish hands and the thumb cover looks really stupid and unrealistic . Nowere on the ebay post or on the dlite site could i find any thing sugesting that they were only designed for large hand.

The d'light looks cool when my dad uses it but it looks utturly ridiculas if i do.

so i recomend that if you have small hands dont waste your money

A friend and I bought a pair each of the red/green from D'light. com got them within 4 days, which was pretty good. They are quite large, but we plan on only using them in pretty dark places, so that shouldn't be a problem.
We are planning on busking with them this christmas.

I'm similarly looking for vids on the net, but they don't seem to be much cop.
If anyone finds any good ones please post links here.

Favorite trick at the moment is 'accidentally' snorting one, then sneezing two out. Usually gets a groan.
The "in the mouth and out the ear" does look like you're actually passing it through the head. Probably a little more than the other way round.
Practicing with lazer pointers too, pulling the red dot off the wall, and eating it. "Mmmm Strawberry." (The green ones arn't ripe yet.)

you can buy differing sizes of lites if you look around for them, or ask in a magic shop.

Yeah, I was thinking of ordering the junior size, but was worried they'd be too small. Better too big than too small.
Of course the only reason we bought any at all was after seeing how good Larry is with them.hug

Wow, when I first saw those demo videos ( on the d light website), they looked amazing. Then (only from reading this to be honest) I realised what was going on. They do look really good, I have to say.

I am quite tempted to get some though. Although, I don't know when I 'd actually use them, other than for my own amusement.

theres lots of vids around of people using these things, and also of people doing "Conjuring" with photons. The two are pretty much the same because a D'lite is essentially just a photon with a plastic cover that goes over your thumb.

Anyway, heres some vids and info, some stuff i searched for for about...20 secs, the rest I knew about already.
