A very weird hypothesis but if fire doesn't burn would you still do fire-spinning? Or putting this another way, if they have invented a fuel that produce a flame that doesn't release any heat, would you choose to use that over conventional fuel?

I think for me, one of the majority attraction of fire-spinning is the thrill-seeking element. I really don't think I will be as interested in spinning if there isn't a chance of me getting hurt. ubbrollsmile

OH YEAH!

Get me a tanker full and I'll spin two hoses from it!

I'd want to recreate 'Singing in the Rain' with it, fill the toilet with it and chuck a bunch of cherry bombs down there, get hold of one of those massive sprinkler systems they have on farms etc. etc.

It would be another prop I guess. My main problems with fire are the dirtyness of fuel and the need for a safe venue. The heat and sound add a dimension that I enjoy. I would probably use it more than "real" fire though.

Fire without heat! eek
that's the best invention EVER!
I just find fire frustrating, coz I can't play half the trick I can normally play when I light up.

Where can I buy this wonder fuel?

Not a spinner!

It wouldn’t give you the rush you get from playing with fire and it wouldn’t amaze people as much, you wouldn’t be doing any thing dangerous.

i'm not looking for the rush.
i just like the looks of it and the sound.
given that kind of fuel i'd be spinning fire much more, and would take much more journys back and forth in time with my time machin

It's just the feeling of it that does it for me. There is definitely a different element when it is lit, with the heat and the sound, but ultimately it's getting lost in the motion of it all that I love.

i'm always cold, so i like the fire for the heat... if it still gave off heat, but didn't burn, i'd be up for it...

that really really doesn't make any sence does it?

I find that I dont get a rush from fire spinning anymore, after 6 months I forget that the poi are even on fire and Im just spinning. I dont feel the heat in any particular way and it dosent get my adrenaline pumping anymore.

if this fuel would burn without fumes umm I would certainly choose it over any petrol(eum)...

It's not as if I am deliberately trying to hurt myself, or the risk that gives me the kick - I just had to accept it so far.

You come up with an affordable non heat emitting fuel that has the same sound and looks and I'll be your lifetime customer.

the best smiles are the ones you lead to wink
