Posted: Just wondering if anyone here does stretches or a warm-up before twirling stuff?I was trying out a few BTB things yesterday for the first time and reaching around, I painfully strained a muscle just under my shoulder blade. Now I know that I am quite (read - unusually) flexible and can often do things that I shouldn't do without a good stretch first!I think I will stretch in the future - what about everyone else...------------------Well my thinking is this: if it's empty, fill it with cream

Posted: hi bendy :-)I usually warm up if I'm doing a serious practice session or if I'm going to perform, but mostly I don't bother if I'm just messing round with friends :-) I do the normal stretching routines that are hard-wired into my head from my background in gym, plus a few others specific to spinning. You'll know what muscles you need to stretch if you do a really vigourous session without stretching - all the bits that huuuuurt the next day are the ones you should stretch next time ;-)
the memories fire, the rhythm falls slow....
