yeah I used one... not the best... but it is quite new, so I'm sure that they will smooth things out for them... The staff is about as long as a single double staff, so if your use to longer staffs... stay away tongue.

They do come with a large piece of padding around them so you can practise and not have to worry about breaking the end lights. The lights seem to change once they reach 90 degree angles... (that's 0d, 90d, 180d and 270d) or if you tap the staff. rolleyes

The one major problem is the price... and the size, but it's waaaaayyyy to x-ie... eek

I can't hear you... I have a banana in my ear.

They are pretty strong... I did fit myself... but it was planned... rolleyes.

And they were still good... so I guess, anything that can hit my head and survive must atleast have a pretty good life span...

But I'm still going to stand by the fact that I personally don't like them... yet... tongue

i had a play with one as earthcore this year, they give awesome trails but the ends look a tad flimsy to me i remember have a look at the way it was joined on and thinking it would snap of if it hit the ground hard.

I cannot find ian's HoP account on the user list any more (rainbow architect)

pros:
-totally rechargeable. that is fantastic
-colours change
-durable
-not-dull illumination
-did i mention they were rechargeable?! smile they come with a charger.

cons:
-the light only emits for a few inches at the ends. ok i guess if you like those types of trials.
-erm advertising non-HoP stuff on HoP smile

Heya...
I tried them art Exodus last year and they were ok... I'm not sure if they've been upgraded at all since then...
I think from memory that they weren't super flimsy but i had my Aerotechs there at the time so i wasn't giving them much time of day...
my only con is that the trails are small-ish (glo stick size)...the 4 colour changing trails are cool.

Bender: Is it really a con to be talking of twirling products on a site dedicated to twirling, simply becaue HoP doesn't exlusively make them? umm I hope not... that would be monopolistic pants

I just don't think an hour's glow time is enough for any of us. That seems more for short floor shows. Also, that's rediculously expensive.

I only recently became enamoured with the staff, and I'm going nuts trying to buy or build the perfect staff. My best atempt so far was a copper plumbing pipe. I cut five inch long windows spaced by an inch in strips on both sides. It looked really good but it was too weak structurally, a little too heavy and the jagged windows cut the sh*t out of my hands.

So it looks like my best option is https://neonhusky.com
I've been holding off cause I thought their prices were bad, but now that I've seen everyone elses.

Can you guys list all the glow staffs you know of and were I can find 'em or some good ideas on building my own.

Thanx

The nighthack ones you're referring to, are those the streetlight staffs? Because if they are... then you may be in for some disappointment. Steetlights are very prone to cracking and shattering, so you might want to reconsider. And as poi, they are pants. Can't even hold up to a simple butterfly knock.. bah. Hope that helps.. as best it can.

I've been warned as to the vulnerability of street lights, but the staff to which I'm referring encases them in plexiglass.

nah mate, i'm not implying that there's anything like bans on discussion topics :throws up on self: what i meant was that personally I dun like to use HoP bandwidth to advertise non HoP stuff. But defintely i will add to a review discussion if i'd tried a toy out.

mommy always told me that i acted different.

plus, funken, your english is totally understandable. beerchug

more to the point, the discussion is on electroglow staves, of which some emit light along the entire shaft.
