Posted: Oh NO!!!!!!! Thats really bad news, only the other day my mate was saying to me how he thought they may be shut down because the contract was up at the end of the year. Are they actually shut down now, or are they going to shut in the future.. we can't be having that ?------------------Chloe.-I'm dancing through the fire just to catch a flame- Paul Weller

Posted: No it really has closed down. Sat (mindscapes and friends) was the last night. They were going to have one last huge rave as a kinda goodbye thing but they said it would kill relationships with police and co that they spent a long time building and are very proud of. fair enough. Adam and co are looking for a new venue so hopefully the drome won't die. To find out more visit:https://www.thewarpexperience.com/cgi-bin/bbs/thedrome.pl?read=588for strategyhttps://www.thewarpexperience.com/cgi-bin/bbs/thedrome.pl?read=493for general info on eviction and bribaryhttps://www.thewarpexperience.com/cgi-bin/bbs/thedrome.pl?read=554for statement from Adam (boss and owner)https://www.thewarpexperience.com/cgi-bin/bbs/thedrome.pl?read=587for the next step.https://www.thewarpexperience.com/cgi-bin/bbs/thedrome.plfor general discussion andwww.thedrome.co.uk for everything elseThe drome means alot to me and to hundreds of people. Posted: arghhhhhh that really sucks!!! it's such a shame - i was really looking forwards to going at the end of the term when i'll probably be in London for a few days...of course it must be so much more frustrating for you and other people that used to party and work there Garbo - even if i never went there i still feel that it's a great loss... on the brighter side i think it's sooo good that the community seems to be really close together; i am sure that with some collective effort a new venue will be found and The Drome won't die...i wish you all the best in finding a new place OR even better to fighting this eviction - i read the posts on the BB, i agree that since the legal battle is not going well you can play the last cards with the media - plz let us know how it goes garbo...happy swinging,Simos
Posted: I cant believe it! I went to the Drome for the first time last month for 'Anti-World',(I had a great experience doing UV-poi on stage while chris liberator played an acid techno set) Such friendly club experiences are too few and far between as it is. The loss of such club is a shame, i was already planning to visit London for the next Anti-world. But, with a little luck a new venue may be found. You nver know. It may be better than the last one!?!CAINED AND UNABLE.
Posted: The Juggling Workshops that were being held at the Drome are moving toCLOUD 9 67-68 Albert Embankment(nr Vauxaull Tube)SE1 020Tuesday 7:30-11:00This is only for two weeks(Feb27th and March 6th) and then we have to find another venue.CheersDimitri
