Been visiting this site ever since I discovered poi at an all night rave in July weavesmiley and thought I should finally introduce myself!
Im (a) far too old to be going to raves and (b) far too old to learn new tricks tongue
(yes I know 37 isnt old but when alot of the posts say 'mom wont let me poi in the house/garden' or 'mom doesnt like me playing my music too loud' my answer is 'guess what its like when your kids tell you to turn your music down and be careful where youre twirling those poi '!!)
Still in dire need of a Norfolk person to come drink tea and show me where im going wrong with the weave!
[Old link]

Thanks for all being so helpful and friendly hug

But being teenage aint that bad right 14 mainly or 15 or 16 but 13 ands 17 sux, 13 no respect, 17 too much work, 14 is just fine and good age to start twirling, good luck with the weave, i may not be some fire twirling demon but i might know some easy stuff that looks good, gimme a yell.

Welcome to HoP Legs. Any age is a good age to learn the wonderful art of poi and good luck with the weave.

Growing old is mandatory; growing up is NOT.

umm *searches for off switch* nope...not a robot!! Automaton maybe but thats different.
I finally learn to weave last week, and backwards with my eyes shut cos when I opened them i hit myself!! (the phrase "I can do it with my eyes shut" has different meaning for me now!)
I would love someone to spin with, (however dreadful I am) would be nice to talk to someone with enthusiasm!!
Quote of daughter when I told her I could weave backwards too "it looks the same"
