Howdy people! I'm completely new to spinning - I picked up a friend's poi the other week and fell in love pretty much instantly, so I decided to go forth in search of my own set... and here I am! Anybody who feels kind enough to want to poke me gently in the right direction as far as technique or moves go, please feel free to do so! weavesmiley

My state of mind is not yours to define!

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

> Pink...?, I'm in Egham (at uni here - I'm actually from Birmingham)

>Everbody else, thanks for the anti-hate! Much needed, I can tell you. I'm a 19-year old student from Birmingham, at uni in London (well, Surrey). I first picked up poi last week (a friend's set) and pretty much instantly fell in love with them, especially when he showed me his light-up ones... It's relaxing, yet engrossing at the same time! I'm studying Classics which, for those who don't know, involves the language, history, literature, drama, philosophy and archaeology of the ancient civilisations, principally the Greeks and the Romans. I take a keen interest in drama, and should be taking a show I recently did to the Pleasant theatre in London at some point in April/June time! I'm so excited!
Anyway, if there's anything else anybody wants to know, feel free to ask. weavesmiley
