Hi, I'm brand spanking new to HOP, never even new it existed until I stumbled upon it recently. Only just starting to get my sea legs as far as the technology thing goes. Just typed poi into a search engine and BAM, Here I am. And right glad I am too. Been spinning for years on and off, started in South Africa and the enthusiasm kinda waned once I got to the UK and refused to leave the warmth of indoors for months. Years later I am regaining my passion and learnig to accept that 26 degrees celcius is warm.
Think Hop is amazing, looking forward to learning and living and loving and growing.

You do that! We tend to spin on the level and near the west pier (the burnt one) if on the beach, but only really in summer I'm afraid. This past weekend was my final spin of the year (outdoors anyway) I'm afraid.

if you spin fast enough in the rain the fire burns the water and you stay dry... 
honest guv go try it on a really wet and rainy night, you'll love it A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

I dont believe you Mynci...besides, it's not the rain I'm worried about, it's the bloody wind, and the general coldness of it all! I don't like it, I really feel the cold.

What van Dave, where on my road did you see it because I cant think of the one you are talking about (please note that I am rather unobservant),but I'll be happy to do that for you.
Yes, we are serious about coming up north (God help us), we did promise the bubbles. I'm not too sure when though. Defenitly NOT this year,and we are in South Africa from 17 January-12 Feb. So it will either be in the first two weeks of Jan (unlikely as I predict we will be recovering from December and packing for SA)or sometime after Feb where I can take a few sick days as I am using significant amount of my holiday up to go to South Africa.

feb/may sounds good, gets most of the chilly out the way and would be a good start to the hop year ooo gotta start planning! you guys wanna go out in manc? any clubs? GASH?
i highly recomend GASH, in fact, maybe i should start a thread on it, it doesnt happen very often but its amazing! 4 floors, 5 rooms, lotsa music from psy to drum and bass etc etc, and its free! free!

Ok...ummm, any other distinguishing features. I saw a van that had 'titan system' spray painted on it, but thats a local band, so I guess thats not the one you were talking about, I'll have another look again today.
I'm trying to save, but there is too much to save for!!! I get so confused I normally just end up spending my money on weekends in Brighton

To say its a 'colourful' van is a bit of an understatement... The word 'Flyer' should be on there somewhere...
You have had and will always have MANY weekends in Brighton. But a trip to Preston and Bolton is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Mynci!16th of December! My house, dont forget!!! It's a saturday.We will more than likely start partying on the friday (go for a meal and then on to Floorgasm , then a continuation at my house:D), so you are welcome to come down then, but if it's a choice between the two nights I'd say come on the saturday, coz thats the official house party.

I have turned down a gig in london for this because you are more important.I told them to change the club night or I won't go because it clashes with something important. let me know details closer to the time. so I can check trains / prices etc.

We'll get there somehow. don't you worry. Marie STILL hasn't been granted any income support yet, she was told by letter this week she wasn't entitled to any, probably because she is a homeless single mother not a bloody asylum seeker
