Hi there everyone Im Kirsty 25 and am back from England and have picked up poi so Im so new at it. Looking for meetings or pplz to help me learn the art of poi.. Went to Alexander Gardens but no one there so not to sure where to go now. Can anyone help?????

Hi Kir!
I'm really new to poi to, but reading over the moves threads here has got me all inspired and you should check out the videos!
There seems to be few poi-people in Melbourne (I'm in Bendigo at the moment for uni but plan to get back to Melbourne at the end of the year) and by the sounds of it they meet pretty regularly.
I think they have a Wednesday evening thing happening, at least as far as I can gather they do.
Anyway, welcome to HoP.

you say you went to alexandra gardens and no one was there? where exactly did you go? it's pretty much directly across from the arts centre. it gets a bit confusing because there are a whole bunch of gardens, and a lot of people go to the wrong spot. and here's the really tricky part, i think the actual park that we spin at is called queen victoria gardens NOT alexandra gardens, it's just what everyone thinks its called. its a pretty big park, and i think there's a statue of hercules on the way there if you're walking from the station, and there's another statue of a hammer thrower. we'd love to see you there. let me know if you're still unsure about where it is.
