Have you ever had one of those questions that just dont really seem to have an answer? A question that you spend hours thinking about but just cant seem to come to a conclusion? A good example would be in "The Matrix" when the oracle asks Neo if he would have broken the vase if she hadnt told him about it. Well, this is a place for those questions. Pitch them here and who knows? Maybe someone out there will have an answer. ubbidea

Alright, heres some simple ones to start off with:

1)If there was no air, would planes still fly?
2)What would it really feel like to have a tail?
3)What came first, the chicken or the egg? (one of my personal favourites)

i think the universe has a picard topography

ie it looks something like one of the drinking horns vikings used

incidetly its actualy curve is pretty much the same as that of a banana

so yes

the universe is something like a viking's cup, named after a character in star trek and bent like a bannana

mynci - i think your thinking of the time aspect of the universe - some people think its a repeating cycle of big bang/ big crunch
tongue

what is the smallest prefix you know? (eg mille nano etc)
mine is yeto which is 10X1^-21 (i think)

I'd just like to point out that assumptions based on General (or special) Relativity might actually be wrong. While it does make reasonably accurate predictions it is going to be replaced in the not too distant future with some combination of Quantum Gravity and Superstring Theory.

Hope that causes much confusion biggrin

Ooh! I got one!

Why are trees bicycle magnets?

And on a more serious note...
How would you describe a colour to a person who was blind from birth?

Relate colors to other senses... any would do - but tactile might be easier to understand, but more difficult to map properly. A more accurate representation would be to apply a phase shift to the coresponding light wave to translate into a frequency somewhere in the range of human hearing.

Yellow and blue make green.

But, that really wouldn't describe the color, just represent it.
