Bizarre question I hear you ask....
I've currently got an eye infection
and went to the hospital last night and was given eye drops. I've got to use these every hour. Since I've been using them, I've had this horrid taste in my mouth, as though the eye drop stuff is going down my throat. And it's really REALLY icky. It's making me feel quite sick It might be a coincidence.....but thought I'd ask the question anyway.
So...any one know if your eyes are linked to your throat?

ears are linked to the throat - eyes are linked to your sinuses - mind you, your sinuses drain down the back of your throat, so there your explanation lol

I think they are, as its possible to cry milk trough your eyes..........god knows how, but you can !

This reminds me when my mum had a nose spray, for something I can't remember, but it really made her ill, far worse than she started.............
i wonder if its all linked to yours ears too........might be why hospitals have an ear nose and throat department.

for a poorly princessyes, all them holes in your head are kinda linked together.
There was a guy my uncle was in the Navy with who could blow cigarette smoke out of his ears.
and there's an old magic trick of putting a small object into your mouth and making it appear like its coming out of your eye. It performed by... putting a small object into your mouth, working it through your sinuses, and taking it out your eye.
ick... and shudder.

Yes, there is a duct that drains the eyes called the nasolacrimal duct. It drains from the eye into the nose. The nose drains into the throat.

I remember seeing something like this ages ago, I think the show was called Magick and had this mad-arse rabbit as a logo.
A while ago I had an eye test, this involved putting florescent yellow dye in my eye. A short time after I'm blowing said florescent yellow dye out of my nose. Ygah...

Junkyitis is the pits. And so attractive the bloodshot eyes and sticky bits. We have had it do multiple rounds of the family. Use the drops and often if it is.
Good luck in getting rid of it.

I had that too...can't remember what it was for...I accidentally forgot and put my contact lenses back in soon after I was told to wait 12hrs for the dye to dissipate...oh well...I had summer-y-vision for the rest of the day (gotta love it in the middle of winter)

Yep, had the dye thing too, but it was even funnier when they only dialated one of my pupils, was freaking people out the whole day o_O
The worst is when you have a nosebleed and then later you taste it at the back of your throat... yeugh!
