well, the programme ended yesterday finding some quite good talent.
but, one thing rearly annoyed me about the programme is that they put absoluteley rubbish people though with no talent at all just for entertainment perposes! i.e boy whos ears squeaked, man plaing ash-tray with a key but worst of all was a troupe of baton twilers that auditioned on the same day of me that were a compleate joke! they looked like they were board the whole time and made mistakes all over the place, they looked like they had only know each other and played with fire for a few days, when i was speaking to the crew they all said how rubbish they were so why did they get though!!!
here the vid for ya to see fer yaself!!!
https://video.itv.com/default.aspx?page=t...2&PageNum=4

but on the bright side of life me and lilBBoy are working on a routine for next year that will blow their minds so watch this space...

i don't watch tv so this is the first time i have seen this.. why bother going into this type of thing though? its just TV trash and oviously isn't really there to show talent at all, its just entertainment.

Is that you on your avatar Brittle? In which case I'm thinking the reason they got on and you didn't is your mohy. There's no good reasoning there, I know, but y'ain't gonna get on prime time telly looking like that..

(Oh yea, I'm also very cynical, I reckon you wouldn't've got on with any real talent anyway cos the sadf***ers watching at home have to be able to think "yea, I could do that" so as to make their pointless lives feel better, and anyone doing stuff that takes skill and practice doesn't give that.)

And their website programming sucks, won't play on my mac... Scumbag pc-centric (**^%^ers. Still, keeps it out of my home just like having no telly did..

I know,

not ONE of them looked comfortable spinning fire, they dont appear to know anything about their equipment, their uniforms "are very flammable but its ok so long as you keep spinning" que the wick bouncing off a girls stomach.

they are also attempting stuff that they havent mastered yet with their non lit equipment....inexcuseable.

last night on america's got talent a fire breather was shown. but he was either inept or "pretending" to mess up (they didn't show the whole thing just a clip of people who didn't get in) and when he was buzzed by the judges he mouthed off to them. not a good representative for those who breath fire responsibly. (although he did say "don't try this at home" thankfully!)

same night on miami ink there was a fire spinner, but the camera man was zoomed in on just her face (ok probably her face and chest) and you just saw some fire in the background, wish they showed what she was doing!

I have to ask - did this come as a shock to you?

Since when have ITV ever put on a "real" talent show?
They're making television... therefor they'll show idiots, pretty people or things that make you go ewwwww.

I got asked to enter this, and my immediate thought, as mentioned on the promo I got sent, was "How on earth can you fairly compare a speaking dog, a boy choir and a man with really long nose hair?"

I don't normally watch stuff like 'Britains got talent', but I saw the quarter/semi/finals and thought it was pretty good.

I was surprised by the number of manipulation/circus skills typre stuff, which included a baton twirler, a bar flair duo and an angle grinder (I believe there was also a juggler in an earlier round).

One thing that struck me was that the judges considered the bar flair and angle grinding as 'unique' and 'original', which of course they're not.

IMO, the bar flair duo were actually really skilled, whereas the angle grinding wasn't.

But, seeing what impressed the judges, it struck me that a lot of, for example, performers who use this board, could have done a lot better than they might have expected, had they entered.

I think the show was pretty sincere in what it was trying to do, which was to bring back variety, which once, in the UK, was pretty big.

As always, in the opening rounds, they're going to include a few freak shows, cos the publc find them amusing.

But certainly, where the final rounds are concerned, the contestents were highy skilled/talented.

It could have been a lot worse and I'd say, of all these kinds of talent shows, this was the best I've seen and also the most relevant to spinners/manipulators.

I predict that next year, there will be HOP-ers on 'Britains got Talent'.

BUMP! Did anyone see Steve doing his balloonatic act on there last night? It was hilarious. He got a pretty good ammount of exposure out of it too, with an interview and stuff. Plus, he got through to the next round! Are we to see some toothbrushes next? Who knows...

Will those capable of telekinesis please raise my hand?

Aw Man i just watched the video of steve doing the ballon thing and they buzzes him before he even got to do half of the rad stuff i saw when he did it at SJC. Bummer.

That is one thing i don't like about these shows, people that construct a proper act were they start with simpler stuff and work up to a climax will be buzzed if they don't crack out the big guns in the first 5 seconds.

Also if you are thinking about entering one of these competitions in the future, read your contract very carfully it could end up being bad publicity for you other wise.
