This little guy is coming to live with Mot and myself in two weeks time:

3209small_and_fluffy

I spent 1,5 hours playing with him yesterday at his foster mummy's, and it was so hard to leave him behind already! I might have to see if I can visit again before I go to pick him up smile

Annnnyway, next Tuesday he gets chipped, so we have to come up for a name for him before then..... suggestion box is now open!

Awww, what a cutie ubblove

Of course every cat has 3 names - a posh one, an everyday one and one known only to themselves.... biggrin

How about Jehosephat? As in Jumping
- the full thing is his posh name
- short name could either be Jes or JJ
- you have a ready made socially acceptable expletive to attach when we messes up ' that Jumping Jes has done it again wink
- i don't know why other than that's what cam into my head when i saw the pic shrug

haha, loving the suggestions! smile Someone else (with a penguin obsession) said he should be Pingu, which I also quite like smile (you can't see it in this picture but he has a white chest)

Meh, our other cat Duvel (dutch name for a ducth cat) is no more... he was fantastic, cool, arrogant, demanding, cuddly only when you dared focus your attention on something else smile Unfortunately he went outside one night in January and hasn't come back... he was fifteen and lived his whole life in this house and surrounding area, so we don't think he's gone adventuring, "something" must have happened.

We're sad about him and the house is way too empty, hence the new addition, "Jehosephat Puk Commodore Cuddlesworth #13 Little Paw Pingu" smile JPCC13LPP for short, I like!

We are going to get another kitten though, a red one, to keep JPCC13LPP company, which is actually better for twirling, Jarle, because they'll both be roughly the same size and weight biggrin

Though, sometimes we call either of them "w4nkchops" or "stinkpod" or even "ratbag".

I personally like "Fred" smile

ubblolubblolubblol what a superb name

Unfortunately the latest addition to our household, a large fat bulbous (ceramic) frog has already been named Gilbert le Grenouille, but he certainly looks like an Aloysious Gruntfuttock..... rolleyes

Aloysious Gruntfuttock is brilliant of course, but we'd end up calling him Aly in no time, and then he'd get all gender-confuzzled smile

From my experience I've noticed that it doesn't matter what name you give a cat 'cause they never come when you call them. I assume you'll do the right thing and have it fixed so what about Newt? Or Wix (looks a bit like the wick on my staff but less scruffy). I've just wandered back in after chasing off a cat that was stalking "our" wagtail - the names I gave that cat are unrepeatable (unless I want to be moderated off this board in record time) wink

If it's already a cat, you could call it "cat". If it's still a kitten, you could call it "kitten" instead. Of course then you might have to change it's name when it is fully grown.

(okay, I admit it, I've got a teddy bear that is called "teddy". At least I don't mix up the names with this system)

oh, wait, you've already got some cats, right? Then you could call this one "the other cat". Yes, I think I'd go with that name.
