I was introduced to poi 3 months ago. I have just started practicing consistantly within last 2 weeks. Any suggestions on getting started would be greatly appreciated!!

Well, what can you already do?
A good place to start is with the moves on the free lessons at the top of the page, work on getting ;em smooth and linking together, then... well.. it depends what you want to do

There are free lessons here , you can go to the meet others section to see if there is anyone in your area and last there is the international forum. They have some sections there that can help find folks.

Welcome to HoP glad to hear you like the free lessons but fill out the intro template so that we know who we are harrasing:)

If you "Do a Durbs" which is a search on a given move you are struggling with you will often find tips.
