Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella?* Honey! Yes I am a rebel!

Have been twirling poi for about 2,5 years now. I actually learned it with fire poi from some friends. Actually got the hang of it pretty quick. I started doing fire shows a while later with some friends for a ski and board demo, with just some basic moves. Since then I have been learned quite a bit of moves. I do have to work a lot on transitions. I only made sock poi a while after, when I became interested in the finer works.

Here is some footage of me this summer. Do note my leg was broken just 3 months before, so this is a bit static. It's the only material I have at the moment:

I hope to improve my techniques here and see some alternative stuff. I have some preferences to certain moves, like most of us I guess, but I am always interested in new variations.

See you around!

Seems we're getting a few splinter groups popping up around here, Peoples Front Of Honey, Popular Peanut Butter Front, where will it end!?!?

Yeah. It is pretty sad really. We need to round up all these fools and force them to like Marmite.

Don't worry about the mad-miters and those-who-must-have-sentences-for-names. They are harmless in their own way, and RoarFire can give you tips on dealing with them.

Nice spinning... Do you play with other toys as well as poi?

Not seriously. I juggle a bit and know a bunch of relatively simple tricks. This summer I also did some diavolo and devilstick. The devilstick really got to me, so I am going to have to buy a good pair soon. I will probably venture a bit more in the world of devilsticks. Diavolo isn't really for me.

Peace!

Almond butter is for feet or something, isn't it?

*rolls eyes and pokes out tongue*... almond butter is food... like (real) peanut butter, only from a real nut.

but I understand the confusion; most people don't recognise it as such, in these nutella-perverted days; drawn, as they are, to the jar of 90% sugar (ok, maybe a *slight* exaggeration). and while I wouldn't go slathering it on people's feet, I'm sure there're other, more strategically places spots to put it, that might prove interesting. grin
