I know I had a thread like this before, but I cannot for the life of me find it on any of the searches. Anywho, when you open your web browser, what page opens? Mine was HoP. Now it's:

Mine is Google... it takes no time at all to load and sometimes I want to search something! Everything else is in a bar across the top, one click and I'm at one of the sites I enjoy anyway. xkcd, HoP, National Geographic are all in that bar.
Probably has something to do with why I post too much, if my PC is on I just click one button and it takes me to HoP, I'll do it around whatever else I do, my computer is usually on because it blares music at me whenever I'm home, I can just open the window and poi outside my window listening to the tunes!

Firefox = Google
Chrome = That very cool recent stuff page.
IE - Google
On second thoughts I guess they're all Google.

I am with you Mother_Nature...I have Google up because it doesn't take any time to load at all. I also have all my favorites up in the toolbar such as Facebook, HoP, Nelsons Ledges site, and Papadosio forums. Very quick, very effective ha.

At work - our intranet
At home - BBC News. I like to have a quick glance as to what's happening in the world.
On the bar on the top I also have links to XKCD, Email, Wiki, Rec.Juggling & HoP. All the important things!

I switched my homepage to that intranet login screen 3 days ago. I haven't visited HoP in 3 days.
Coincidence? HoP is now my home page again.

Not only for the above reasons but because it is very seldom down. If I want to open a browser to check a connection quickly It's very reliable that google will still function as normal. It's also just simple to look at, I don't like being greeted with a lot of mess.

At home it's my uni webmail, just because it's the first thing I check when online... though I then check "open all in tabs" in my bookmarks toolbar and have my 4 most visited going.
I've found it wierd what other computers are logged on to. Having recently visited net cafes in 8 different African countries (and currently in one in Namibia) I'm surprised by how many are msn homepage and yahoo. I thought yahoo was a exstinct beast.
I also don't understand why it would be google for so many since there is a little google search bar in the top right of the browser (considering you should be using firefox
). I NEVER go to google homepage again... Alt+T, TAB all the way!

The reason mine is Google is because it loads quickly. Yes, I have my Google search bar at the top, but Google is just a nice neutral page to start on, as I don't tend to have any sort of pattern of where I go first when I start up my browser. Sometimes I want to check on this, sometimes on that...
