Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella?* I like Vegemite, but love me some Nutella!

Welcome!

Good taste in books. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, be happy and avoid the squirrels.

Thanks! I'm sure I'll end up with tons of questions. Still in early beginning stages, but I'm lovin' it!

Haha like the description of your favorite music

Welcome to HoP!
Enjoy the nut-cases. (In a place where everyone is crazy, is anyone crazy?) Only feek kerosine to squirrels, and feel free to sample "icecream" and ice cream of any kind.

Btw, false. Godzilla always wins.

Nice to meet you, welcome to the forums! You should post pics of some of the tattoo work you've done. It's always cool to see what other artists have done.

Hello! Welcome to you new cult, I mean home grin

Have you ever thought about flair bartending since you're already gonna be doing fire things?

I'd also like to see some tatoo work of yours, and am I the only one here with no other special hobby/odd job? I work a a fresh soup restaurant owned by my dad. And you guys have these funky jobs tongue2

Probably make more money than me though.

Flag poi might actually be a really good start because, at least I don't think they have a ball to hit yourself with on the end.

The only luck is bad luck.

Shut up before I stall my poi up your ass grin

I was a Waffle House waitress for 3 years! I got into bartending because an old drinking friend of mine opened a bar, ha!
Our building owner was a flair bartender and when he comes in - if it's not busy - he'll teach me a thing or two in spare time. But the rest of my free time goes to poi. smile

I'll post some pictures of my work once I track down my external. It's gotten lost in the mound of miscelleneous (sp?) things put in high places to keep from the kiddo. I stopped working in the shop I was at, because the people who owned it were terrible people. I visit a friend in a shop every now and again to tattoo my family or friends. I'll get some photos of their work soon!

I kind of like having to deal with the ball at the end smacking me around, teches me not to do that again. lol. I'm thinking it'll just save me a little to not have to replace everything in reach. (I practice inside at the moment due to the weather outside).

And thanks again everyone for such a warm welcome! I can't remember the last time I joined a forum community, and actually felt like a welcome new-comer.

Oh we welcome and love everyone in our own unique way.

To SoD: Yes but you have a good knack for poi so that makes up for your lack of a unique hobby. And depends on the flags you get. Some of the better ones are weighted so they have a ball like thing on the end.

Always had a curiosity on being a bartender. Any fun?

Bartending is fun, I think. It kind of relies on what social circle you want to be in on. There's club crowds, small bar crowds, etc. Just gotta find a niche! I'm an introvert person, and bartending really helps me be more social - because I end up looking at it from a business prospective. Otherwise, I'm not real good at talking to people.

I was planning on getting the weighted flags... the Erik (sp?) flags. Anyway, the one with the ball for weight.

Quick story bit - My 3 year old daughter has decided she wanted to swing with me in the yard, so my dad (who helps keep an eye on her while I practice), throws together a sock with some dried beans in it and shoelaces - and she has spent the entire day outside with me swinging. Now every kid in the neighborhood started asking questions, and my dad has been making shoelace poi all day.

I myself think it would be awesome to be a club bartender.

As for my knack. I think it may be because there's nothing to do in my town. We just have parties every other weekend usually.

Being a bartender in a club would be sooo cool because I could perform too grin Double pay man, hohoho!

I can't even imagine how much a flair bartender would make if they performed with fire too
Hmm ubbidea that sounds like a gold mine to me grin

The only luck is bad luck.

i'm thinkin' bout running with it. smile

As for fire/flaire bartending and all - it won't earn me much money. I live in a little po'dunk town that's turning into a black hole slowly.

I am now convinced that teaching my future children all the skill toys I will know.

I also decided to get staffs instead of fans, because I took some broom handles to try a couple of motions and have to say, I think I'm going to love the idea much more.

My mom is planning on doing a $200 medical survey for insomnia and she's going to give me the money for Banyan pants and anything else I want.

Mmm, can't wait for that next shipment of banyan pants to Flowtoys grin

Good morning grumpy! I know the bit is about her, but because she's so young it really relies on me to provide supportive guidance, help her attain the things she needs and open the doors to the knoweledge (sp?).
Ya dig?
But no worries, it wasn't taken negatively. smile
