I just had the worst realization of the weekend.

My poi (and juggling) skills have been sitting dormant because I've been too enthralled in keeping up with new performance videos and "tech" videos.

*sigh*

Can't wait for the spring to finally arrive so I can get back outside and play more.

P.S.
If anyone has any plans of passing through or around NYC and wanna get togehter and spin or juggle or... I dunno.... drink sake and eat strawberries *shrug*, lemme know. heh.

Ciao for Now

I think a lot of people North of the equator are currently having panic attacks when they realize how little spinning they've been doing on account of the cold weather. Hell, I can say I've done plenty of bitching about the weather and lack of comfortable outdoors fun!

Was starting to be fine over here with our freakish early spring, but then the weather decided to rudely remind us it's still actually winter...

Yeah, it was freakishly nice over here for 3 days last week, then the rains, winds, and cold blew back in. And when I say blew I mean uprooted trees and shut down powerlines all over.

I didn't realize it was hurricane season in NY =).

On a side note, I "CAN" spin indoors, but don't usually for the same reason I don't juggle indoors.... my ceiling is so low that unless I'm spinning from the waist, the ceiling gets in the way =).

Not to mention lights, ceiling fans, windows, furniture, pets, people. It's certainly doable but being able to have the free range of movement is freakin' sweet.

I had a few days of free spinning and it started and still somehow is raining furiously. I forgot what it was like.

Count your blessings kidds. I think this summer is going to be wicked hot. We actually went swimming today, no joke!

Good, I like wicked hot! I despise cold and snow. People always tell me I have to move south, and I do.

We are lucky enough a few wonderful people of a local fire troupe have a nice indoor spot they let the public practice at.it has mirrors to. but only on Sundays which is a definite bummer..

We're definitely South (33' S in fact) and warmer than most of the US: rain can be a problem some summers.

I've been practicing fabric / led in a quiet corner of a local mall carpark, in a place where the ceiling is 2 stories up. I get some odd looks but no-one seems to mind, though I suspect it'd be a different thing if I tried fire. rolleyes
