New member here! My real name is Pocholo, but I prefer being called by my online nickname "Maur". I was introduced to poi spinning and this site by a friend, and started spinning 3 days ago(currently trying to learn the reverse 3 beat weave). My other hobbies include weight lifting, running, music (piano and violin), reading and internet stalking (mostly joking on that last one).
And I don't think I've ever tried Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella, so I can't answer that last question in the sticky, haha. Does that make me some sort of heretic then?

To each his own, haha. As awesome as staff spinning is, there's just something about a person effortlessly spinning balls of flaming death around him that can't be beat.

Hmmm, I'm not a contact staffer though... That automatically takes me over the top of poi spinners.
My staffing style is all about speed and fire. Lots of fire, to be exact - my current staff in the works is six foot long and has a 20 cm long wick at each end.

I'm working on that - gotta find a way to do it securely so that I don't loose one end of the staff halfway through a gig. xD
I'm thinking a spring loaded system similar to crutches at the moment... But open to suggestions. Twist in systems are not looking good atm... The only other thing I can think of is a D-shackle or similar.

Also, avoid the squirrels. They may look fluffy but are not very.
I use Marmite in various dishes, just do not tell my partner, who can not stand the stuff. *snigger* Luckily she does not know I use it, but it makes some food so much better.

Never tried marmite. But ketchup is good. Cant have too much though for me. Id get sick of it.
