But with my limited knowledge of it, I'm having trouble getting the tricks down from just the videos. Is there anyone in the SoCal Area, near the Corona to Moreno Valley area who wouldn't mind me getting some tips from them? All i have is some thigh high tube socks with tennis balls as of right now, but wouldn't mind help with just the simple aspects of this amazing new passtime.

It is very possible to learn from the vids, but personal helps. Do not know of anyone around there, sorry. Something that might help is to use something heavier than socks: 100-160g of rice or beans works well as a starter. Otherwise fill the tennis balls with water (use a heavy duty syringe).
Fill out the questionnaire if you would like and avoid the squirrels.
