Posted: Hi, This is a 'what would you do' kind of question.
I'm a UK fire poi spinner, I'd like to start performing. I'm also a designer maker of all sorts including fabric poi.
I need public liability insurance for both performing and doing craft fairs/ product demos.
Could I call performance product demo so I only have to pay one premium instead of two or is this a really bad idea??
(obviously I feel like it's a bad idea but I'm one those people who never steps a toe outside the law. Am I being too cautious?)
I think I would need to make or at least stock the fire toys id be using in performance and make sure my audience has access to info about my craft business.
Who think's I can totally get away with it without even doing those two things? and Who thinks I'm gonna end up not covered if i need to make a claim?

Take it from someone who used to work in the industry...
