I gotta agree there ain't no way that you have learnt everything in 2 months
You may have learnt all of the tricks that you have seen but they are by no means the be all and end all of poi posiblities.

Just read a few threads and watch a couple of vids and you will find new and ineresting moves that will annoy the crap out of you untill they click but when they click it feels so good and then you just have to read a few threads and watch a couple of vids again.

Many of us hoppers do this profesionally / semi pro and have deicated years to the art so don't dissmis your poi peers as you will need there help and advice to learn just like the rest of us did.

First you should have a look at the lessons and don't be too quick to dissmiss the beginers lessons as they taught me a thing or two when i first joined up here at HoP

I recommend getting the Encyclo-poi-dia DVD. smile

Lots of wicked stuff in there!!

Sounds me like you've just learned all the basics.

(Butterflys, 3btWeaves, Wraps, Thread the Needle, Alternative Butterfly mumbo jumbo, etc.)

There is way too much to learn to accomplish it all in just two months. ubblol

Well, everyone deserves to be shown the glory of the comb-over.

It's the only move that I know that's so fantastic no words can fully describe the sheer amounts of awesome it exudes.

Cheers newgabe, I think you may be on to something there. It looks like "amaro" registered just to make this thread. I wonder if we'll see a video from amero in a couple of months that features some "damn good" poi spinning, accompanied with the words " I've only been spinning for a few months......"
